I’m really happy with my floor and the service provided. The communications have been excellent and clear from start to finish. Joe Smith, the fitter, was excellent, very respectful, polite and with great attention detail. I’m really happy with my kitchen glow up, thanks to all concerned. We wanted to get herringbone wood or LVT for the entire ground floor in our new build home last year. We had received quotes from a couple of companies, one CVS, the other a person we had used before in our previous house. The second quote was considerably cheaper and, given the need to keep costs down where possible, we chose the cheaper quote and went with the guy we used before.

I’m sure you’ve heard the cliché, “You get what you pay for,” so you likely won’t be surprised when I tell you that it didn’t go well. I don’t want to turn this into a review of the guy we used so I will just say that our finished floor had bumps, humps, dips, valleys, tiles lifting up everywhere, mastic hanging in tatters along the skirting boards, and primer splattered all over the paintwork. It looked ok when it was completed, but week by week it all started to come up and looked awful. A huge waste of money, time, and stress. The guy, of course, went AWOL

Reluctantly given what we had already paid, we called CVS and asked them if they could possibly fix the issues. They took a look and said it wouldn’t be possible to patch up the faults  and that it would need to be completely redone from scratch, ground down to a flat, uniform surface, re-screed, new floor laid down. They were very understanding and gave us an excellent price for the whole job, so we went for it.

Sometimes, in my quiet moments, I dream of a world where life is simpler and people are happier. A world where politicians don’t lie, kids play quietly together without bedlam, and businesses you hire do what they say they will do without fuss or compromise. In that world, CVS sits upon a hill, lit up by a golden sun, a shining beacon of what every service business should be. And all around it, happy customers dance and sing about the amazing floors they have in their homes and the legendary service they received from these floor-laying geniuses.

A skip arrived before the work started. We didn’t call for one, CVS did.. On the day work was to commence, three guys turned up at 8.15 am, and got started. A few minutes later, a plumber arrived to remove the toilet. We didn’t call him, CVS did. Then a team of appliance removal guys arrived to remove the kitchen appliances. We didn’t call them; CVS did. Then more people turned up with a bunch of tools and doodads. And the tools they brought with them were the tools they needed to do the job! They hadn’t forgotten their tools, or left their tools with their mate, or brought the wrong tools for the job. Within a couple of hours, most of the old floor was up and out. It was an incredible sight to witness.

We went to the coast for a couple of days while they did the work and when we returned two days later - WOW! Blown away. The floor was stunning. No bumps or lumps. No messy mastic. No ill-fitting tiles. Everything looked beautiful. The appliance guys were there putting everything back in place, exactly as they found it. The plumbers were there putting the toilet back. And the floor layer was waiting until everything was done so he could swap out any tiles that may have got scratched when the appliances were put back. Not so much as a speck of dust left in sight.

To say CVS delivered what they promised would be an understatement. I’ve never experienced a service of such exceptional quality and professionalism. If every business conducted itself in the way CVS has, life would be considerably better, and I mean that sincerely. If you have ever hired people to do work in your house, paid a business your hard-earned money and trusted them to deliver on their promises, you will understand the level of stress and anguish it can cause when it turns out to be a disaster. For many of us, it has gotten to the stage where this is the default expectation and experience. So when a company like CVS comes along, a small, family-run business, that takes such pride and goes to such lengths to ensure nothing but absolute perfection, it honestly makes you want to weep with joy and restores your faith in life, love, and the service industry.

Rachel is amazing in the showroom. She’s always willing to help me and advise without any pressure. She’s warm, welcoming and knowledgeable.
The guys who come to measure up are always very friendly and professional.
Quick to come and measure up and never have to wait more than a few days for fitting.

Ryan and his team have been brilliant throughout the entire process, from grinding down cement left by builders to double checking qualitiy requirements. Ryan and his team have provided a very high standard of service. Professional, kept me updated, friendly, helpful and the craftsmanship is such a high standard.
